Toyota Uses Philips 3D Display Technology to Launch New Auris in Shopping Centres

London, UK (PRWeb) February 7, 2007 -- Dimensional Studios have installed Philips 3D Display technology in to retail shopping centres to celebrate the launch of the new Toyota Auris. Creative agency Bandwidth have designed and built a series of unique concept stores to showcase the new car. Shoppers at eight major shopping centre locations in the UK can see why this is a car that feels like it's been 'created around you' and enjoy some imaginative retail theatre.

Philips 3D 42" displays using WOWvx technology deliver stunning out-of-screen 3D effects without the need for special glasses or filters, whereby objects virtually fly in front of the screen. These professional displays are in use today in shopping malls, casinos, restaurants and museums where the 3D displays are used as a differentiator, immediately grabbing the attention of the visitor, giving them an extraordinarily, immersive and entertaining 3D experience.

The highlight of the Bluewater store is the Musion Eyeliner high definition projection system showcasing a spectacular giant free form 3D Auris movie. This content has been created especially for the Bluewater store and is shown in its own large screen theatre, allowing a full size car to be projected before the audience.

Musion Eyeliner is a new and unique high definition video projection system allowing spectacular freeform 3-dimensional moving images to appear within a live stage setting. Eyeliner brings dramatic, previously unseen 21st century video film effects to the live set mediums of stage.

The installation is the main focal point of a unique series of in-store audio-visual experiences for the launch of Toyota's new car, the Auris.

Brandwidth together with leading retail design consultant John Whittle were commissioned by Toyota to design and build a unique retail theatre concept stores as a pivotal launch promotion for the Auris family hatchback car - a model seen by many as a serious challenger to the Ford Focus.

The project is being run for Toyota GB in collaboration with creative agency Brandwidth Marketing and video production house Square Zero. 'Toyota believes in making it easy and enjoyable to experience their models. This activity for the new Auris is our most imaginative experimental marketing development yet' said Andrew Strange, a Brandwidth director.
