The Shoe Shopping Mystery - A Must For Guys And Girls
It's funny when I think about it. Ask a man how they feel about shoe shopping and you'd be lucky to get a grunt. Ask a women, and she will probably tell you she has a pair for everyday of the month.
What is it that makes us so different? For many women, shoe shopping is almost an addiction. There is something in their nature that brings on this compulsion to own more shoes than they will ever need. It's almost like babies, of course us blokes love kids too, but women have a maternal instinct, or a need to have children because that's what their bodies are telling them. Why is that shoes, (and bags) have a similar effect on them. Do shoe shops spray all the shoes with hormones? There must be something we're missing here guys.
I like to have decent footwear, and if i'm choosing shoes or sneakers for my feet then I will take my time and make sure I get some I like, but i've never felt that compulsion to go and by a pair just because I haven't done so for a few weeks. I think perhaps women will say that we are the same with gadgets. Well, I agree to a certain extent. I am a bit of a gadget freak and sure, i've spent money on things like this that I don't really need. But I don't think it's in the same league.
What is it about shopping, and shoes in particular that drive women wild. Man, if we cracked this one perhaps we could use it on ourselves eh? wouldn't that be cool?
You will probably notice through my observations here that I am posing more questions than answers. The reason for this is simple. I don't have the answers. The effects of shoe shopping on females is and always will be a mystery. Perhaps it's the thrill of getting something new that can be shown off to friends and family. Maybe it's their way of telling us we should be taking them out more so they make use of these piles of clobber.
Personally, I don't think it's owning the shoes that excites a woman. If that were the case then they would make sure they find a way to wear them all. I know that many women have pairs of shoes in the closet that have never been worn. So, by process of elimination, there must be something in the act of going shopping itself. I can kind of understand that women love shopping. They can go out with the girls and make a day of it. My 'better half' is no exception. She loves coming back from town with bags full of stuff and showing me what she's bought. But this doesn't explain what put's that extra special twinkle in the eye if she comes back with shoes?
I do have one small theory. On those occasions when I have no choice but to go shopping with my girlfriend, I notice she pays a great deal of attention to the bags that her purchases come in. Sometimes she will walk into a shop and buy the cheapest thing there just so she can get a bag with the shops design on it. So, maybe shoe shops have particularly attractive bags?
Well, that's me fresh out. But, girls if you're reading this and have the answer then I would love to hear from you.
