Giving New Meaning to Fast-Paced Business: Grand Prix New York Opens State-of-the-Art Racing, Entertainment and Corporate Conferencing Facility in Wes
Mount Kisco, NY (PRWEB) October 9, 2007 -- This December, Grand Prix New York Racing, LLC (GPNY) will open its doors to the first indoor corporate event and recreational racing facility in the Hudson Valley region. The new facility is designed to provide companies and organizations in the New York Metro-area with a unique alternative for team-building exercises, offsite outings, and corporate meetings and conferences.
The 120,000-square-foot racing, entertainment, and corporate conferencing center is one of the largest indoor facility of its kind in the country.
The racetrack features elevation changes, natural terrain contours and scenery, all housed behind a floor-to-ceiling wall of glass. Overlooking the racing area are conference rooms and board meeting facilities, a business center, a gourmet restaurant aptly titled "Fuel," and an elegant bar and lounge known as "The Sway Bar." GPNY's high-performance, gasoline-powered karts run on two 24-foot-wide, quarter-mile-long racetracks that are linkable to create one half-mile long track for special racing events.
Using the team-oriented sport of racing as its foundation, GPNY is primarily targeting companies of all sizes looking for an exciting and distinctive approach to motivational team-building for its employees. In a typical team-building exercise, driving teams consisting of four or five members are assigned various tasks in addition to their time behind the wheel (e.g., pit crew). In order to win, a team must develop a strategy that builds on the strengths and skills of each individual. A team is not declared a winner solely by its position at the finish line. Overall scores are also based on how quickly and efficiently a team executes various tasks.
"The facility is structured to provide an organization with the perfect environment for fast-paced, team-building exercises involving competitive racing challenges that go hand-in-hand with team-based motor sports like NASCAR," said Yury Lyalko, President of GPNY. "This is the only venue in the New York Metro-area that allows companies to treat their employees to an exciting offsite event, centered on motor sports, in what will be one of the largest and most highly-equipped meeting and event centers in Westchester County and Southern Connecticut."
Sy Aryeh, Managing Member of GPNY, anticipates that the majority of GPNY's customers will come from beyond a five-mile radius of its facility, bringing in an estimated 60,000 corporate and recreational visitors annually.
"We're confident that 60% of the business we generate will come from corporate and recreational customers who would have purchased their products and services in other nearby counties," Aryeh said. "This should infuse an additional $5 million to $7 million into the Westchester County economy while strengthening the income of existing local retailers, from stores to car dealerships and every business in between."
In addition to its business-oriented facilities and events, GPNY will be offering a broad array of driver training programs to teach children, teens, and adults about the necessary skills to become safe drivers and racers. GPNY will support a number of charitable causes by hosting semi-annual events as well as satellite fundraising activities. For example, in January of 2008, GPNY will be the site for Northern Westchester Hospital's Annual Gala.
Also, GPNY will participate in carbon offsetting -- funding renewable energy projects that counterbalance the carbon emissions output by the facility. In addition to GPNY's fuel-efficient, low-emissions kart engines, the organization will offset 110% or more of its carbon emissions by investing in renewable energy projects and efforts.
