LONE TREE, Colo. (Business Wire EON) May 27, 2008 -- "I have marathon runners and triathletes coming in who still have love handles, and those aren't going away no matter how much they exercise," said Dr. John Millard in the article. The VASER equipment used in Hi Def Liposculpture uses ultrasound technology to essentially "melt" or emulsify fat, which is then removed through a long needle that is smaller and thinner to that used during liposuction. This enables fat to be removed in a more exact fashion, tracing the natural musculature.

This technique, developed by Columbian plastic surgeon Alfredo Hoyos, M.D., has spread to cosmetic surgeons across the country as they turn to VASER training led by Dr. Millard.
