Southern Entertainment Television (The SET) Appoints Seasoned Executive as V.P. of Business Development

Florida, October (PRWEB) October 25, 2006 -- Southern Entertainment Television (The SET) announced today that it has appointed Lara Flamerich as its Vice President of Business Development. She has been charged with leading the firm's efforts to increase its business and affiliate relations in the U.S., develop key alliances with partners and sponsors, and conceive a new Hispanic Gospel Channel and a new Classic Country Music Channel. Ms. Flamerich will report directly to company President Harold Brown.

Lara Flamerich brings with her, close to 12 years of experience in the areas of business and corporate development, communications, technology and marketing management. Prior to joining The SET, Ms. Flamerich was an executive at Hispanic American Broadcasting Co. where she headed the Marketing Department. Prior to that, she managed the Business Development Department of Competencia Magazine, one of Latin America's premier business magazines, focusing in the business opportunities in Southeast USA whilst leading special projects and interviewing the region's political and business leaders.

Before her tenure at Competencia, Ms. Flamerich served as VP of Communications and Corporate Relations for several corporations in Latin America and developed PR and Media actions for The World Bank in Buenos Aires and Porsche Latin America in Miami.

According to Harold Brown, President of The SET, "Lara Flamerich has precisely the right mix of professionalism and enthusiasm necessary to take our business to the next level. The SET intends to become an industry leader in music programming both domestically and throughout the globe".

Ms. Flamerich holds a Bachelor's degree in Communications with Specialization in New Technologies from Buenos Aires University and is fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese. In 2005 she was awarded the Golden Circle Award for excellence in Journalism.
Lara is married to Gustavo, with whom she shares the passion for community-oriented activities and they have a 6 year-old son.
